MALAYSIAN TECHNOLOGY STRATEGIC OUTLOOK 2019/2020

AERODYNE GROUP Aerodyne Group is a world-leading provider of drone-based enterprise solutions, and a pioneer in the use of AI as an enabling technology for large- scale data operations, analytics and process optimisation. As of November 2019, Aerodyne’s staff of over 320 drone professionals operates on an unprecedented level in the UAS services sector, having completed around 80,000 flight operations, inspected more than 300,000 assets and completed in excess of 70,000km of power infrastructure across 25 countries globally.

The Technology AI and machine learning are the future for drone-based asset inspections and management, and Aerodyne is at the forefront of this technology incorporating it into its suite of solutions. Vertikaliti solution suite is an end-to-end cloud-based asset management solution for key infrastructure assets in the power, telecommunications and transportation sectors. Combining smart autonomous drones, AI and machine learning, Vertikaliti seamlessly and effectively assumes the role of reinventing the way assets are managed through autonomous inspection, accurate automatic detection using various sensors and computer vision, predictive and prescriptive analytics, scheduling of maintenance operations, and robotics intervention (aerial, ground and underwater) as well as rectifications. myPrism is a managed solution that uses satellite and drone data (visual, 2D and 3D data) and AI-driven analytics to monitor financial and physical construction progress in near real-time. This provides an unprecedented level of situational awareness for project managers, contributing towards avoidance or elimination of costly delays and non-compliances. Autonomous and networked nested drones are optimally installed on site for the duration of construction period. Aerodyne also delivers inspection solutions for the oil and gas industry. AeroSonic integrates traditional UT inspection methods with drone technology providing highly accurate thickness measurements of assets located in sites which are not easily accessible. Besides serving as a precision inspection tool, AeroSonic also comes with a convenient platform for storing inspection data which can be used for monitoring and managing future inspections. SmartCP is a compact Remote Monitoring Unit (RMU) designed to be installed at a CP riser post along a pipeline network to collect CP data automatically, check measurements against set alert criteria, and report immediately if alarm thresholds are exceeded. Drones are used for physical monitoring and data gateway to collect CP data along ultra-long-range pipelines without fixed connectivity.

Aerodyne is ranked third in the world by Drone Industry Insights (DII) in its 2019 Top 10 Drone Service Providers; was named Frost & Sullivan’s ‘Asia Pacific UAV Services Company of 2019’; and a recipient of the Institute of Engineering and Technology (IET) Malaysia’s Industry Excellence Gold Award 2019.
