The team have established a remote working culture prior to the pandemic. As such it was a smooth transition for us when moving into a 100% remote working environment when the government announced the MCO. Collaborative tools (Basecamp, Gsuite) and communication channels (Slack, Zoom, Google Meet) were already in placed within our working environment. In terms of business, at the moment we are still seeing minimal impact. However, in the long run, if the global economy continues into a depression, we expect to see a significant negative impact to our business.

DATA8 has developed cHEART on blockchain platform that enables secure, fast and transparent exchange of medical records. A pilot project was conducted in October 2019 in collaboration with Poliklinik AmalMedik. DATA8 is now developing cHEART 2.0 to provide a more personalised healthcare app to help those with NCDs (non- communicable diseases), caretakers and the health conscious to keep their medical records on mobile phone, secured by blockchain technology.
MCO has delayed cHEART’s deployment at USIM from April to May 2020.
The development of cHEART 2.0 is currently on hold to fulfil the request by Sg. Buloh Hospital to develop COVID-19 Triaging & Management System that reduces interactions between the frontliners and patients by automating the processes of screening, swabbing, and admitting patients. The system was developed by DATA8 in goodwill.
