F or the seven brothers initi- ated at the University of The Bahamas (UB) on August 26, 2017, the day marked a ma- jor milestone not only for those brothers in the Bahamas, but also Kappa Alpha Psi ® worldwide. The brothers on the UB campus are moving toward becoming the first undergraduate chapter of the fraternity chartered in another country and the second to be chartered outside the continental United States with the University of [U.S.] Virgin Islands Chap- ter, the Xi Psi of Kappa Alpha Psi ® being the first chapter in 1996. Currently the brothers are members of the Epsilon Mu Colony. Being the first international undergraduate initiates of this great

fraternity, we see it as our mantra to continue this great legacy. Our goal is to expand Kappa Alpha Psi ® in the Bahamas as much as pos- sible, reignite the fire of service in some of our Alumni brothers and push our name to the top of the conversation as far as social organizations are concerned. The Epsilon Mu Colony will be a sustainable student organization on the UB campus due to the determination of the seven brothers. Our objectives are to meet all of the fraternity’s and school’s financial, academic and social obliga- tions while conducting fraternal busi- ness in a professional manner. According to the most recent campus

census the total enrollment was listed at roughly 5,000 students, but of this de- mographic the number of male students enrolled at UB for years has paled in comparison to that of the females with a near 3:1 ratio. Therefore, our plan is to be a shining light for the number of male students that attend our university. Members of the Epsilon Mu Colony As for who are we; the members of the Epsilon Mu Colony are: Chapter Polemarch Brother Dominic Parker a senior Finance major; Vice Polemarch Brother Mccallton Demeritte a senior Biochemistry major; Keeper of Exche- quer Brother Donathan Whylly a senior
