7 EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR 5 ADVANCEMENTS NEW

It All Began with Her Love for Melaleuca Products

believes, advising future business builders aspiring to build a Melaleuca business to open up their minds to possibilities and not be afraid of hard work. “You reap what you sow, and if you put in the effort to work towards whatever your mind can conceive, you will certainly achieve it,” she imparts. After Convention 2017, Josephine also looked at setting goals for herself—resolving to advance four statuses to Executive Director 8, as well as develop two Senior Directors and two Executive Directors before Convention 2018, steering her business focus to ensure she achieves what she has set. She believes that goal-setting keeps one moving forward and progressing. “One of the secrets of success is to set new goals for yourself once you have met your initial ones. Your goals will give you a reason to work hard because your focus will be clear,” Josephine further advises. Though developing her Melaleuca business has brought about a sense of financial stability, Josephine says the biggest joy and satisfaction in her Melaleuca journey is still how it has improved and enhanced her and her family’s quality of life. “I am a living proof of Melaleuca’s complete wellness. I am healthier, much more so as compared to ten or twenty years ago. I’m able to spend quality time with family and friends. My family is also happy because Melaleuca offers us peace of mind with its quality eco-friendly products, something that I am keen to share with others to promote eco-awareness,” she proudly states. Loving how Melaleuca has enhanced and enriched her life in so many ways, Josephine also resolved to do the same for others. Her ‘This Year I Will’ is to help her business builders move forward and advance in their Melaleuca business, ultimately leading to enhancing their physical and financial well-being. “... if you put in the effort to work towards whatever your mind can conceive, you will certainly achieve it.”

“It all started with Tub & Tile®!” Executive Director 5 Josephine Tan exclaims, recalling the start of her Melaleuca journey back in 2007. Back then, a distant relative had introduced the product to her, and Josephine found herself mighty impressed with the product after using it. That sparked her curiosity and she then enrolled as a customer of Melaleuca as she was keen on trying more of Melaleuca’s products and wanted to take advantage of the Preferred Customer benefits. Josephine, who had previously left her Marketing Director job of fifteen years in an effort to spend more time with her family, says her love for the products soon led her to see the opportunity in Melaleuca’s business model. “One by one, my friends soon came into the picture and began using Melaleuca products,” she explains of her foray into the Melaleuca business-building journey. A ten-year veteran in building a Melaleuca business, Josephine says the real challenge is in finding the right business partners. “I’d have to admit, after ten long years in this business, it is not easy to find partners who are determined, coachable and willing to work hard for their goals. The right mind-set is so very important when it comes to developing a successful Melaleuca business,” she continues. Josephine does not let that deter her, and overcomes this challenge by continuously being on the lookout for individuals who possess those traits listed, to turn them into business builders. She also took the opportunity of using various social media platforms available to expand her network of contacts. “The world now is so interconnected with a ubiquitous online presence. It would truly be a shame not to leverage on that. So one of the changes I effected was setting up a standard operating procedure for my business partners and customers to follow, effectively switching our marketing realm from physical to virtual,” she explains. Josephine is a firm believer in the 7 Critical Business Building Activities and consciously practices Critical Activities 1 and 2 daily, ensuring she makes either 4 calls a day or 20 calls a week. She acknowledges that the repetitive actions of the daily activities are key to flourishing in this business, noting that there is a reason why the 7 Critical Activities is a proven formula of success. “At the recent Standing Senior Leadership Council in Bangkok and Convention 2017, there were so many success stories shared by our fellow Marketing Executives. The stories are so inspiring, all of which have motivated me to aspire and dream bigger. These sharing also confirmed my observation that with the right knowledge and tools, our business success has no physical limit. The size of your success is in direct relation to your ambition, mindset and attitude,” Josephine
