Energy-Efficient Lighting Eau Resort & Spa utilizes energy-efficient LED lightbulbs and fixtures throughout the property. An advanced Energy Management System has been integrated into the HVAC (Heating, Ventilation, and Air Conditioning) systems, ensuring a thoughtful approach to energy use. Guest rooms are equipped with Energy Star-certified televisions and electronic devices, further reducing overall energy consumption while maintaining a high level of comfort.

Smart Energy Management Guest rooms and suites are enhanced with smart thermostats that, when unoccupied or with open balcony doors, automatically regulate the air conditioning. To further enhance sustainability, low-flow oxygenic showerheads and high-efficiency toilets have been installed, significantly reducing water usage.

Energy Conservation To promote a sustainable lifestyle, there are special offers and discounted rates for local residents, encouraging them to enjoy "staycations" and reducing the carbon footprint associated with long-distance travel.

Eco-conscious Transportation In support of eco-conscious transportation, we offer universal electric vehicle charging stations, along with Tesla-designated chargers equipped with adapters to accommodate various electric vehicles. Additionally, we provide guest transportation in an electric vehicle, featuring a built-in digital iPad for easy access to entertainment and PressReader.

Eco-conscious transportation options are also available, including bike sharing and electric vehicle car rentals, to enable guests to minimize their carbon footprint during their stay. Jogging maps are also avilable for those guests looking to take in the scenery by foot rather than vehicle.

WATER

Water Conservation Eau Resort & Spa has gone the extra mile by installing water-efficient fixtures and pressure-reducing valves in its facilities, a proactive measure aimed at curbing water consumption and fostering a culture of water conservation. The water features a state-of-the-art closed-loop chilled water system equipped with a self-regulating cooling tower, designed to minimize water loss and optimize energy consumption.

Water Quality To ensure the highest water quality standards, Eau Resort & Spa has invested in water softeners and filtration systems throughout the premises. These devices effectively eliminate impurities, guaranteeing top-tier water quality for guests.

Water Management Throughout Eau Resort & Spa, the property is equipped with pressure-assisted toilets, specifically designed to reduce water waste and enhance overall water efficiency.

Towel and Linen Reuse Program Eau Resort & Spa has instituted a towel and linen reuse program as part of their dedication to preserving natural resources. Fresh linens are provided every third day to minimize waste. Guests are encouraged to join the program, allowing them to choose whether to reuse towels during their stay or opt for a refresh.

Culinary Practices Eau Resort & Spa is committed to a farm-to-table approach, sourcing culinary ingredients from local farms and fisheries. The culinary offerings cater to a diverse range of dietary preferences with gluten-free (gf), lacto-ovo vegetarian (v), and vegan choices (v*), as well as Eau-natural selections. This initiative encourages plant-based dining and accommodates guests with specific dietary restrictions. Additionally, the culinary team collaborates with guests and clients to prepare custom dishes based on specific dietary needs. Eau Resort & Spa also offers superfood-infused smoothies, utilizing high-nutrition ingredients to heighten the quality and health benefits of the beverages. Crafted beverages include the “Matcha Margarita”, previously featured in Stir, with a delightful blend of antioxidant-rich matcha. In Breeze Ocean Kitchen, the drink "This is my jam" incorporates fresh fruits, specifically blueberries, to achieve a distinctive taste aligned with the commitment to offering a refreshing and health-conscious experience for guests.

Cold Pressed Miami

Featured on the menu at Breeze Ocean Kitchen is Cold Pressed Miami, an organic drink sourced locally. Cold Pressed Miami implements a zero-waste approach by repurposing byproducts from their juicing process as compost or animal feed. They prioritize eco-friendly packaging, utilizing recyclable materials to align with their commitment to sustainable practices.

Strawfish

Eau Resort & Spa provides guests with eco-friendly cutlery by Strawfish, offering a uniquely crafted sustainable resource. This innovative company specializes in creating cutlery from seashell-based resin and repurposed oyster shells. The utensils they produce are intentionally designed to biodegrade in landfills,

effectively transforming marine waste into environmentally responsible solutions.

Phade

The resort's commitment to eco-conscious dining extends to its partnership with Phade, offering sustainable straws made from canola oil-derived biopolymers. These straws replicate the feel and function of traditional plastic straws while offering environmentally friendly disposal options.

Within meeting rooms, Eau Resort & Spa promotes eco-friendly practices by providing reusable glass water bottles instead of single-use plastic options. Guest room key bracelets are made from sustainable materials, reducing plastic waste while maintaining convenience for guests. Tablecloths in event and dining spaces are crafted from eco-friendly fabrics, reinforcing the resort’s dedication to sustainability at every touchpoint. Eco-friendly laundry bags are within guest rooms as a more environmentally conscious alternative. This initiative is in line with the overarching goal of significantly decreasing plastic waste throughout the entire property. The introduction of a monthly ordering strategy has effectively reduced delivery frequency, thereby minimizing the environmental impact associated with transportation. In partnership with Project Reef, we provide their reef-safe, mineral-based sunscreen to help preserve marine life and promote eco-conscious sun care. In partnership with Lather, the resort provides bath and body products made with naturally derived, eco-friendly ingredients and packaged in sustainable materials.

Digital Materials Implementation of electronic reader boards outside meeting spaces not only provides groups with valuable information about meeting locations but also reduces the need for paper copies. The inclusion of QR codes in guest rooms and on in-room TVs, which promote additional information about Spa and Dining, reduces the need for paper materials.

During their stay, guests enjoy access to thousands of publications digitally. With PressReader, they can explore over 7,000 newspapers from esteemed publications like The New York Times and Preferred Travel Magazine, as well as magazines in 60 languages, all conveniently accessible on one platform. This innovative approach dramatically reduces the need for printed copies, contributing to the resort's ongoing commitment to sustainability.

Reduce, Reuse, and Recycle Recycling bins are placed in various areas throughout the property. The resort also proactively reuses packaging materials received with deliveries when sending outgoing packages. Eau Resort & Spa operates a sustainable discard program that repurposes items identified by the linen service or found unsuitable for regular use, such as linens and damaged soaps. The team sorts these items for donation and decides which local groups, like women’s shelters, animal rescues, and others, would benefit the most. Eau Spa Eau Spa is dedicated to eco-conscious practices that enhance guest experiences while minimizing environmental impact: Eliminated single-use plastics in shower and vanity areas. Replaced bottled water with a crystal-infused water dispenser by VitaJuwel. Use Clean Republic cleaners to reduce bleach reliance and promote a healthier environment. Utilized reusable acrylic cups throughout the facility to minimize waste. Provided sustainable locker room amenities, including toothbrushes, razors, shower caps, combs, brushes, and wet bags. Transitioned to electronic intake forms via mobile devices, with physical copies available upon request to reduce paper waste.

Community Support Eau Resort & Spa places great importance on community engagement and social responsibility. The resort partners with the Salvation Army biannually, organizing a backpack drive each August to support local students and participating in the Angel program each December to provide gifts for children in need. During Thanksgiving, Eau Resort & Spa participates in the "Pie It Forward" program in collaboration with Meals on Wheels of the Palm Beaches. The resort’s culinary team bakes pies, which are donated to homebound seniors in the Palm Beach area to provide nourishment and comfort. Eau Resort & Spa also hosts a Halloween pumpkin carving competition among departments, where the winning department is awarded the opportunity to select a charity to receive a $250 donation. Valmont’s commitment to sustainability aligns with a focus on locally sourced Swiss ingredients from the Alps, glaciers, and mountains. Their sustainable production methods, low CO2 emissions transportation, and eco-designed packaging set a high standard for the beauty industry. Valmont's latest product line, "Save the Bees," invites guests to indulge in a deluxe skincare routine that also supports the conservation of these vital pollinators. By incorporating Valmont’s products into our spa, we are proud to provide our guests with luxury skincare while supporting a brand that prioritizes the health of both our world and its people. Sea turtles hold a special place in Eau Resort & Spa’s hearts. From March to October, the beach becomes a haven for many sea turtle nests, offering a chance for guests or staff to witness the amazing sight of hatchlings making their way to the sea! During this important turtle season, the protection of these incredible creatures is taken seriously. The security team ensures that all indoor and outdoor lights visible from the beach comply with the Manalapan town ordinance, shielding, repositioning, or turning them off after dark to ensure the nesting sea turtles are undisturbed. Partnerships: Big Dog Ranch Rescue

At Eau Resort & Spa, guests and their beloved pets are embraced with open arms. The resort has pet stations and serene lawns on both the North and South sides for pets to play and unwind. Outdoor excursions are comfortable with provided pet cabanas and strollers, while inside guestrooms, dogs receive the royal treatment with plush pet beds, food and water bowls, homemade treats, and an Eau Resort & Spa bandana for flair.

In addition to being a pet-friendly haven, the resort has formed a significant partnership with Big Dog Ranch Rescue, a distinguished no-kill dog shelter in Palm Beach County. While complimentary stays are offered for pets, guests are encouraged to contribute directly to Big Dog Ranch Rescue via a QR code provided, to support the shelter's volunteering, resource provision, and positive community impact. In 2023, Eau Resort & Spa demonstrated dedication by generously donating over 20 bags of towels to Big Dog Ranch.

DID YOU KN-EAU? The History of State Road A1A from Boynton Beach to Palm Beach State Road A1A, originally stretching from the northern U.S. to Miami, once ran between the ocean and the original La Coquille Club, now the site of Eau Resort & Spa. Due to hurricane damage between 1939 and 1964, sections of A1A were abandoned and relocated inland, leaving the old road submerged near the resort’s beach. Today, this sunken section, about 100 feet from the seawall, has become a protected artificial reef, providing habitat for diverse marine life and serving as a unique snorkeling spot for guests. By preserving this reef, our resort supports biodiversity, protects coastlines, and contributes to broader sustainability and conservation efforts. For safety, complimentary water shoes and snorkel gear are provided.
