How does our community see us? How can we continue to evolve to better serve you? These are all questions we grapple with every day. and website to accurately reflect who we are now, in 2021, and moving forward.

For decades, the familiar teal dot has adorned our signs, library cards and website. The book and boat images built into our logo attempted to represent what we have to offer and celebrate our rich maritime history. In 2021, it’s obvious to anyone using the library that we are more than books. The library is a place and a resource for connection, collaboration and inclusion. We look forward to unveiling a new logo and new website on December 7. We believe it will more accurately reflect who we are and where we are going as we move into the second century of serving the residents of Anne Arundel County. I invite you to log onto our Facebook page ( facebook.com/aacpl ) on December 7 at 10 am for a special event where we will mark our past with the closing of a time capsule and we will move into the future with the unveiling of a new logo and website. Along with the entire AACPL staff, I’d like to thank you for your support over the last 100 years. We look forward to showing you all the exciting and unexpected things we have to offer in the future.
