Nicole Kernohan Celebrates Audacious Joy by Peri Hayes
Centre. Regarding the motivation behind Nicole’s work and her words, she earnestly concludes, “I feel so fulfilled. I only needed one person to feel a positive life chang- ing experience for me to feel like sharing this mes- sage was worth it.”
Nicole Kernohan, experienced in writing various articles and co-author for several books, released her debut solo book in November of last year. Continuing her focus on personal and professional development, Nicole shares what led to the pursuit of Audacious Joy : “I wrote this book, because I knew at a young age that I had a joyful perspective. The catalyst was experiencing multiple sclerosis at 21, and continuing to feel my glass being half full rather than empty. I came face-to-face with something that others seemed to think was a negative circumstance – of course there were challenges – and yet, I was still joyful.” Ten years later, Nicole would proceed to study psychology and the power of the mind. “During this time, I began to understand perspective and that one can experience joy on all different levels – sometimes this is excitement; sometimes it’s calm and peace. Joy is not an exclusive emotion, it’s a state of being.” As a Coach through Elevated Worldwide (based out of the US), Nicole facilitates virtual sessions with clients. “I travel for events, and we’re now expanding our work into St. Thomas, London and the surrounding area. We offer coaching programs and workshops, as well as daily processes designed to create meaningful results for individuals, entrepreneurs and business owners.” Nicole is looking forward to her presentation at the Power of Perspective event in London this October, which entails free registration and is open to the public. Refer to Nicole’s website at nicolekernohan.com for further details. For readers dedicated to creating their own positive perspective, Nicole offers three accessible tips. Please note, this guidance is offered as a suggestion: “Just do your best, and aim to practice 1 – 3 daily for the most benefit.” 1. Daily gratitude : Choose three things you’re thankful for every day; my husband, son and I do this every night before bed. 2. Watch your words : If you’re about to say ‘I can’t’, instead say ‘I am willing to find a way’ and create a bridge into what you believe. 3. Be outside without a device: Go for a walk and appreciate the natural beauty, or sit on your porch and listen to the birds; be present.
