Interpreting Revelation by MERR ILL C. TENNEY • Dr. Gerald B. Stanton, Professor of Systematic Theology, Talbot Theological Seminary, says: "Dr. Tenney . . . presents from a general premillennial viewpoint a concise summary of the major problems and values contained in the Revelation, together with suggested methods for studying and interpreting the book.” • Dr. Arnold D. Ehlert, Librarian and Professor of Library Science at Biola says: "W hile this is not a commentary on the Book of Revela tion, Dr. Tenney has considerably strengthened the premillennial interpretation of the book by this series of essays on its hermeneutics and theology. He has prepared three tables that graphically illuminate the structure of chapters 2-3, the 'sevens’ of the book, and its Old Testament quotations.”

She could have gone to the game with any of a half dozen fellows from the youth group at church, and now, being the girl she was, she’d have to turn them all down. What a fool he’d been. Lamenting, he turned and his gaze caught a worn Bible beside his bed. Usually Bible-reading for him was a searching, diligent study, but just now he picked it up and leafed through it at random. After the evening meal was over Tom settled down for a session with his short wave receiver. It was a war surplus set given to him by his uncle several years before and had proved a real source of blessing. He had acquired the knowledge of t r a n s m i t t i n g and receiving and often communicated with other hams all over the world. He had heard everything from first-hand news reports of exciting events to local human-interest stories. He settled in a comfortable chair and adjusted the earphones carefully. He timed in for a few minutes on an English-spoken news broadcast in Moscow. Compassion welled up in his heart at the thought of the thousands of people under oppres sion there, many persecuted for their faith in Christ. After the broadcast was over he changed the dial. Silence filled the room except for the ticking of the clock. Then there was an erratic sputter. . . SOS SOS SOS DE . . . SOS SOS SOS DE. . . Tom sat forward, instantly alert. It was a distress signal in Interna tional Morse Code. Quickly he reached for a pencil and a scrap of paper. Static crowded in for several
