No Frills gives to Koala Place
No Frills co-owners James and Jenn Gordon presented a $2,058 donation to Koala Place’s executive assistant Suzanne Villeneuve-Fitch, and executive director Elyse Lauzon-Alguire, last week. The store owners also donated some refreshments and other supplies to the centre. Koala Place offers a hub where children and youth receive early support after having disclosed abuse. The multi-disciplinary team helps improve access to social and health-related support services in the community. A collaborative, multi-disciplinary intervention, such as the one implemented by Koala Place, is part of the solution in responding to crimes against children and providing victims with much needed support.
