senator at large will be elected by those NTT faculty who are not in the CAH, CEPS, and COTS colleges. ii. Revision of iv. NTT senators will now be elected to represent CAH, CEPS, and COTS. An additional senator-at-large will be elected to represent divisions outside of CAH, CEPS, and COTS such as the Library and other areas. Senator representation is based on the NTT FTE for each area with CAH, CEPS, and COTS having the most NTT FTE, and other divisions lower have FTE. As of October 15th, 2024, CEPS has 141 NTT faculty (73.55 FTE), CAH has 71 NTT (55.95 FTE), COTS has 58 NTT faculty (42.84 FTE), and CB has 21 NTT faculty (14.42 FTE). Additionally, there are 20 NTT faculty in Library and other areas (23.96 FTE) - not CAH, CB, CEPS, and COTS. iii. Revision of terms of service. NTT senator terms of service will be for one year with maximum of three terms. Currently, the Faculty Code does not identify a term limit for NTT senators. This term limit provides more opportunities for NTT faculty to serve as Faculty Senate. 3) January 14, 2026: Motion No. 25-09: Recommend approved revisions to Appendix B: Distinguished Faculty Awards in the Faculty Code as outlined in Exhibit C. a. Summary : These changes clarify distinguished faculty award processes and address the following: 1) self-nominations are allowed; 2) recent Distinguished Faculty Award (DFA) recipients are not able to nominate until they serve on the selection committee; 3) submission format is updated to reflect current practice and clerical changes simplify language rather than duplicating information. b. Rationale : 1) Self nomination is proposed to encourage equity across departments, as some departments don’t have time/capacity to nominate. Also, it is hoped that this will encourage more faculty to be involved; 2) Recent award recipients are precluded from nominating colleagues in order to ensure they are eligible to serve on the award selection committee; 3) Provide updated language to clarify submission process and required materials for submission. 4) June 2, 2026: Motion No. 25-19: Revise Faculty Code Section IV on assigned time and WLU for Senate activities as outlined in Exhibit D. a. Summary : The amended language distinguishes between Faculty Senate roles that draw from the standard three (3) workload units (WLUs) that are part of service for all TT/T faculty (e.g., serving as a department Senator) and Faculty Senate roles that receive additional WLUs beyond the standard three (3) service workload (e.g., serving on the Executive Committee [EC] or as an officer, or the Faculty Legislative Representative). b. Rationale: This motion clarifies that Senators, committee members, and committee chairs draw from their standard three (3) service WLUs as specified in the CBA. Any additional WLUs received by faculty serving in these roles must be negotiated with administration on a case-by-case basis. It specifies that EC members and officers, and the FLR receive additional WLU release that is detailed in Part E 2-6. 5) June 2, 2026: Motion No. 25-20: Revise Faculty Code Preamble, Section II, and Appendix C on college budget committees as outlined in Exhibit E. a. Summary : Acronyms for ACE and AGB have been added to the abbreviations in the Preamble. In Faculty Code Section II.2.b, the origins of the 1966 statement were changed from saying “AAUP” to “joint AAUP/ACE/AGB.” Additional changes include eliminating “shared” and adding the word “principles,” as well as changing “refers” to “outlines.” i. In Faculty Code Appendix C “College Budget Committees,” a definition was added to Section I “Definitions.” In Section IV “Committee Responsibilities” part A, “unit” was
