WILLARD HOTEL is located in the left w in g o f the Bible Insti tute building next to the Public, L ibrary park, adjoin ing the Church o f the Open Door. It is op erated as a fir st-c la ss temperance hotel," sur rounded by a Christian environm ent t h a t as- -, sures a safe, com fortr able and exclusive place to stop. 13 stories! o f fire p ro o f construction. • R ates:

1. My Intercessor “And he that searcheth the hearts knpweth what is the mind of the Spirit, because he maketh intercession for the saints according to the will of God” (Rom. 8:27). On bended knee, the world grovyS dim; False hopes fade then, and flee When Jesus opens wide prayer’s gate And enters in with me. And breaking o’er my soul at last Comes strength to "conqueror” be, For Jesus enters, praying too, And intercedes for me. —F. H. Becker. 2. Are You Worrying? “But I would have you without carefulness” (1 Cor. 7:32). Prayer, is an acknowledgment of faith. Worry is a denial of faith. Prayer is putting my hand in God’s hand, trusting to His loving guidance. Worry i§ withdrawing my hand and denying His power to lead me. Prayer leads through the door of faith into the presence of God. /Worry leads through the .door of anxiety into the darkness of loneliness and discourage ment. If prayer rules the life, victory results.—“Heart to Heart Talks.” 3. To Cleanse “If we confess our sins, he is faith ful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unright eousness” (1 John 1:9). If we “ confess” ! There is the crux of the whole matter.. . . We think that all God requires is “excuse me,” just as we pass in front of a person and say, “ Pardon me,” as though our sin were only a slight breach of etiquette. Beloved, agree with God about your sin. Pull it out, lay it bare, don’t cover it, don’t hide it, and God will forgive, . . . “ release from” o u r . s i n , and cleanse. To forgive is a means to' an end. His purpose is to cleanse. —Christ Life. 4. Communion That Sustains “We . . . have been all made to drink into one Spirit” (1 Cor. 12:13). Your communion with Christ is the source of your life. Abide in Him and draw life from Him every moment, as the root draws its nourishment from the soil, as the branch takes its life from the vine, as the lungs drink in oxygen from the atmosphere. Faith is a sensitive organ that must feed upon God, even as our physical organs feed upon our appropriate nourish ment.—A. B. Simpson.

5. Power to Transform “We are the clay, and thou our pot ter” (Isa. 64:8), Happy are they who . . . have, come to the original Author of their being, that He may create them anew in righteousness and true holiness. . . . It is not merely the ioVe of God, but also His power, that challenges the praises of the universe for the accom plished work of redemption. “Thou our potter”—what words of tender confi dence! . . . Our Potter—mine, yours! He has taken this as His vocation; namely, the redemption and glorifica tion of your nature and of mine. Be tween your soul and God there is a wonderful relation established. —George Bowen. 6. The One Who Understands “Fear thou not; for I am with thee: be not dismayed; for I am thy God: I will strengthen thee; .yea, I will hejp thee; yea, I will uphold thee with the right hand of my righteousness” (Isa. 41:10). God is with us in our sorrows. . . , On what stormy setts have you been tossed which have not also roared about His boat? Never glen of adver sity so dark, so deep, apparently so pathless, but what in stooping down you may discover the footprints of the Crucified One. In the fires and in the rivers, in the cold night and under the burning sun, He cries, “ I am with thee.”—Charles Haddon Spurgeon. 7. Buying from Him “I counsel thee to buy of me gold tried in the fire, that thou mayest be rich” (Rev. 3:18). It is surely easy to “buy” from Him whose whole heart’s desire is to give. On our part, nothing is required but need and faith to complete the pur chase. Need and faith are our “two mites.” They are to us what the two mites were to the poor widow—all our “ living,” all we have. Yet, as we cast them into the treasury, God counts them of far more value than all the boasted abundance of Laodicea. —F. C. Jennings. 8. Not in Vain “Therefore, my beloved brethren, be ye steadffest, u n m o v a b l e , always abounding in the work of the-Lord, forasmuch as ye know that your labor is not in vain in the Lord” (1 Cor. 15:58). “Not in vain”—thy work, O noble - toiler, Though scant the fruitage thou dost meanwhile see:
