c. For those in the clinical track: include evidence of quality of clinical care. Evidence may include dashboard/benchmarks, safety and quality improvement development, community/patient outreach or education, recognition/awards of clinical expertise, invitations for speaking at clinical seminars/conferences, and clinical innovations developed. (This section should be no more than 4 pages.)

C. Track Switch

Guidelines and documentation for a track switch are the same as that required for appointment/promotion to the track and rank for which the individual is being reviewed.

EXPEDITED REAPPOINTMENT FOR CLINICAL-NON REPRESENTED FACULTY AND AAUP REPRESENTED NON-TENURE FACULTY

A. Guidelines

1. In order to streamline the reappointment process for some non-tenure track faculty, the option of expedited reappointment is available.

2. A Clinical faculty member who has been appointed or reappointed for at least 7 consecutive years without any negative recommendations may request expedited reappointment.

3. Requests may only be submitted for reappointment. Promotion and/or tenure cannot be considered for expedited review.

B. Procedure

1. Requests for expedited reappointment are submitted to the Department Chair and must include copies of all annual performance evaluations since the time of the faculty member's last reappointment.

2. Requests must be submitted by September 15 th of the penultimate year of the faculty member's current term.

3. Requests for expedited reappointment are reviewed by the Department RPT Committee, Department Chair and Dean. The College Committee and Provost are omitted from this process.

4. If a faculty member is denied expedited reappointment, he/she would need to submit a full dossier at the time of their reappointment.

5. The terms of reappointment are requested by the candidate, but can be increased or decreased by the reviewers.
