LABRAD NEWFOUNDL

August 9–20, 2020 $5,789 per person, double occupancy $6,839 per person, single occupancy

Travel to Newfoundland and Labrador, a Canadian province whose history is rich with stories and legends, explorers and inventors, and more! Following our flight into Deer Lake, we’ll overnight in Corner Brook before exploring the charming city and heading up the coast to Cow Head for a two-night stay in Gros Morne National Park. Our time in the park will reveal pristine landscapes and include a boat tour on a landlocked fjord and a visit to

Lobster Cove Head Lighthouse. We’ll then continue north to the Port au Choix National Historic Site to learn about the history of the Archaic Indians. The next day, we’ll journey by boat to Labrador to step back in time in the old whaling community of Red Bay. The adventure continues back on the mainland of Newfoundland with a one-night stay in St. Anthony. While here, we will

visit sites tied to Viking history, including the L'Anse aux Meadows National Historic Site and Norstead, a replicated Viking port of trade with costumed interpreters. We will also stop at The Dark Tickle Company to learn how wild berries are turned into delicious jam, tea, coffee, and chocolate. In Twillingate, we’ll learn about the region’s fishing heritage at The Prime
