Home Safety with the Cedar Rapids Fire and Police Departments Hills Bank in Cedar Rapids (3905 Blairs Ferry Rd NE) Tuesday, March 31, 4:00-5:00 p.m.
Throughout the course of homeownership – whether you’ve lived in your home for years or are a new resident – being aware of your home’s safety and the well-being of your surrounding neighborhood is a top priority. Revisiting safety and preventative practices is especially important as your home ages or your neighborhood develops. The Cedar Rapids Fire and Police departments are partnering together to bring awareness on two risks affecting homeowners: fire and burglary. Together, the CRFD and the CRPD will address scenarios like when to call 911 or use the non-emergency number, as well as strategies for preventing fire and deterring unwelcome visitors and using resources in your community to maintain safe homes and neighborhoods.
