A New Direction The Fort Worth Police Department Strategic Plan outlines a newMission, Vision, Core Values, and Honor Code, which all form the foundation and framework for the plan. The Mission, Vision, and Core Values changed pursuant to the democratic involvement of the Strategic Plan Advisory Committee and sworn/civilian members of the department during the strategic planning process. Vision The Fort Worth Police Department will be a national leader in law enforcement by maintaining a trusted partnership with the community, employing diverse and highly skilled professionals and implementing an innovative policing model focused on community engagement, crime prevention, advanced training, and problem solving. Mission The Fort Worth Police Department exists to safeguard the lives and property of those we serve, to reduce the incidence and fear of crime, and to enhance public safety through partnering and building trust with the community. Core Values Core values form the framework for our work, and identify the conduct and the character that members of this organization align ourselves with to achieve the mission. The core values of the Fort Worth Police Department form the acronym P.A.N.T.H.E.R.
