We Must Experience This Gospel Ourselves John 3:13 Unless we know the way, we cannot tell others. Unless we have met Christ, we cannot introduce Him to others. Un less we have been blessed by God’s remedy, we cannot recommend it to our neighbors. Now is the time to do it. Let us tell the old, old story of Jesus and His love. Let us proclaim the value of Christ Jesus and the efficacy of His precious blood and the sufficiency of the sacrifice at Calvary. Let us do it now for souls are dying every moment, and most of them die without Christ. We Must Care for the Souls of Others 1 Cor. 9:16 As we mingle with the multitudes it is easy to forget that they have souls that need saving. We need the anointing of the Holy Spirit upon our eyes so that we may see the needs of those whom we meet and desire to have them know the Saviour that we know. Fathers and mothers should want to be sure that their children know the God of Heaven and the living Lord Jesus who is the Saviour of sinners. Let us be earnestly concerned with the salvation of those whom we meet in social life and in busi ness transactions. We Must Have Something to Give Mark 6:37 It is not sufficient that we merely in vite folks to church or hand out a tract or show an interest in the religious wel fare of others. We should know the gos pel so well and understand it so clearly that we can present this wonderful mes sage to the wondering and wandering friends whom we meet. Let us not leave this work to the preacher. He cannot contact all of our friends, but we can. Let us be well equipped with the knowl edge of Christ and the value of the Saviour so that we may be soul winners. We Must Get the Gospel to Them Mark 16:15 The first two letters in the word gos pel are GO. The Lord never told us to invite sinners to come to church. He al ways has said that we should go to them. We go where the fish are in the stream; we do not invite them to come to the kitchen sink. The gospel is a “ going concern.” In our day very few sinners enter a church door. We must hunt them up wherever they are, and present the gospel to them in an attractive, interest ing, and convincing manner. We may go—we may give—we may pray for those who do go. We may send others where we cannot go. Let us be busy send ing the gospel.
