Baptist Church of which I was pastor for some years, and today that church has gone into the hands of the liberal- lsts.” We trust our subscribers will pray for Mr. Wallace, that he may con tinue witnessing with even greater power than he has had in the past. The Bishop Turns the Thumbscrews A subscriber in a Southern California town gives us the following informa tion: “ I became connected with a church that was organized under the wing of the Methodist denomination. It had dwindled down to nothing. I was made superintendent of the Sunday school and in nine months we had a member ship of seventy-five, and all was going nicely. The Methodist bishop saw fit to send us a new preacher, a student from the University of Southern Cali fornia, and the lines which he took up you can readily imagine from the books of infidelity that he is required to study. He immediately began an attack upon those who stand for dispensational truths. The result is that a large number of the members, including practically all those who have attended the prayer meetings, decided to pull out. A min ister has been called who stands four square for the truth, and he has made every sacrifice to help us build up a strong church. The other crowd are doing their utmost to hamper by saying unfair things of us. Nevertheless, we are having very helpful services, and increasing numbers are being blessed of the Lord.. The K. B. is doing much to build up this church. Hope 'the friends will remember us in prayer that we may uphold valiantly that for which the K. B. stands . 'Opposed to the Footlights A subscriber who is superintendent of a large Methodist Sunday school in the state of Washington, unburdened his heart as follows: “ Our church erected a stage with footlights in the Sunday school room. As superintendent of the

school, I spoke against footlights and theatricals, as savoring of the world, and suggested that we would better leave the theatre alone and not try to compete with the world. My pastor took exception and has invited me to step out of this big school. I suggested to him that if our members spent as much time in prayer for a revival as they did in preparation for bazaars, en tertainments, festivals, and the entire catalogue of shows, we would win hun dreds of souls for Christ. He made no reply. Of course ,this pastor does not believe in the inspiration of the Scrip tures, the coming of the Lord, etc., and brands those as fanatics who do.” A number of letters have come to The King’s Business office from different pastors who have been asked to resign because their emphasis on the funda mentals of our faith was not pleasing to the “ Modernists” in their churches. This has suggested to us that there are doubtless 'many other faithful pastors who are finding it difficult to maintain their loyalty to the whole truth of the Word of God. If so, we would be glad to have a line from them, and will take pleasure in being of any possible help or assistance. | ^iluitj^U im m iiH iiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiH iH iiiiiiiiiiin iiiH iH iu u iiiiiin iiiiiiiiiiiiiiin iiiiiiH iiiiiiiiiiiiiiu iiiiu iiiiiiiifin The Eyes of God. To think about the eye of God for just one moment, ought to be enough to make a sinner tremble. Go where you will, or do What you may, you can not get away from the eye of God. "His eyes are like a flame of fire.” Like great burning searchlights, those eyes of God will follow you from the cradle to the grave. There is “ no creature that is not manifest in His sight.” •You may hide your sins from the eye of man, but you can never hide them from the eye of God. There is no dark ness so deep that God cannot see you. giuHiiiiiHiiiHniim m iHliiiiaiiiiiiiiiuiM iiHHiinniiniuuiiHNUHiiiiiliiiiiiiniiiiiniifiilNiuiiiiiiim iiuiniic: | Salvation Talks
