they are working safely and successfully. In addition to essential manufacturing safety concepts, we introduce Trex values and culture to inform new hires about how we behave and what we stand for. Safety training in 2025 included a new “Rules of the Road” campaign that focused on motor vehicle accident prevention and other best practices for drivers. Learn more about our commitment to health and safety on pages 25-27 .
Beginning in 2025, the program shifted from a yearly to a quarterly recognition schedule. Awards are granted at the close of each quarter. In 2025, we distributed cash and equity awards totaling $447,500 to 71 employees. Through our Above and Beyond program, Trex people managers provide recognition to team members who excel in their work and exemplify Trex core values. This program is another step in efforts to strengthen engagement and ensure that team members feel valued for their contributions.
To support employees wishing to further their external education while remaining with Trex, we offer a generous tuition reimbursement program. Full-time employees are reimbursed up to $5,000 annually to pursue associate degrees, $7,500 to pursue bachelor’s degrees and $10,000 to pursue master’s degrees. Employees may also receive tuition reimbursement for select vocational and technical degrees and certificates. The program awarded a total of $68,544 to 12 employees in 2025, with two team members completing their degree during the year. Additionally, we offer Trex Family Scholarships to dependents of our employees who want to pursue higher education at an accredited two-year or four-year college or university, or at vocational or technical schools in the U.S. In 2025, we awarded scholarships totaling $87,000 to 27 students. We invest in Trex employees’ long-term professional growth from day one through our onboarding program. Newly hired corporate office employees start their orientation with a welcome presentation that includes messages from Trex senior leaders and an overview of our products, followed by a meet-and-greet lunch with team members and a tour of our production facilities. Our manufacturing operations conduct a separate onboarding experience for new hires. As part of their tailored onboarding experience, employees joining our Sales and Customer Experience Center teams also attend product knowledge sessions and participate in one of our Build Days.
Employee Recognition
Employee recognition is built into our training curriculum for all Trex managers, and we take time to honor the outstanding work of our employees through several initiatives. The annual Distinguished Performance Awards, our premier recognition program, honor high-performing individuals below the director level for above-and-beyond contributions. Team members are nominated based on defined criteria, with final honorees selected through executive team and Board review. TREX APEX LEAGUE The Apex League honors the commitment, perseverance and excellence of employees who have worked at Trex for 25 years or more. Apex League honorees receive an American flag that is made from Trex boards with the Trex logo and their name on a plaque. We host a yearly Apex League dinner for new and previous inductees to further build a sense of community. In 2025, we inducted eight team members into the Apex League.
A Focus on Safety
Newly hired manufacturing workers complete additional on-the- job technical skills training and classroom learning. For Spanish- speaking employees at both our Virginia and Nevada facilities, bilingual trainers conduct the training. Safety trainers continue checking in with new hires during their first 90 days to ensure
TREX INTERNSHIPS Our internship program provides learning opportunities for college students in engineering, information technology, marketing and other fields, as well as students pursuing vocational degrees. In 2025, we hosted 25 interns across 13 departments. Throughout their internship experience, students worked on projects that are meaningful to our business and also received mentorship and guidance from Trex department managers. At the end of the program, interns present highlights of their work to our executive leadership team.
