Turnover in Workforce

We use the Gallup Q12® tool to conduct our annual employee engagement survey and follow-up activities, which include action plans that our people managers develop with individual team members to improve overall engagement and employee experience. We apply insights from the survey to help drive continuous improvement at Trex and strengthen our workplace culture. Our 2025 employee engagement survey revealed that team members feel very positive about our continued efforts to improve employee recognition. Overarching priorities are now gently pivoting toward greater transparency of our corporate mission, vision and core values and the subsequent enrichment of individual role clarity. New efforts are already underway in 2026 around updated strategic plan communications and a formalized, companywide goal cascading process. LOGO USAGE

We use a variety of channels to disseminate information and improve internal communications. These include our employee intranet, business updates via email, printed materials and digital announcements on monitors at all of our operating locations, as well as online links to corporate policies, employee- centered stories and compilations of frequently asked questions. At manufacturing sites, we conduct pre-shift daily huddles and periodic roundtable sessions to facilitate interaction between employees and site leadership teams. Our leadership teams at production facilities organize quarterly town halls to exchange information with employees. In addition, executive leadership hosts a quarterly call for employees to present financial results from the quarter and other business updates.

In 2025, the voluntary turnover rate among hourly employees who have been with us for more than one year was 8.8%, an increase from our 2024 rate of 4.5%. This modest increase remains low relative to industry benchmarks. The change primarily reflects organizational updates designed to strengthen performance expectations and align roles and compensation structures with evolving business needs. Across all our salaried and hourly employees, voluntary turnover was 12.6%, down from 15.0% in 2024. The total turnover rate decreased to 20.9% in 2025 from 26.1% in 2024. This is due to our strengthening of leadership quality and structure across our manufacturing facilities. Additionally, greater business stability reduced the need for rapid hiring. Avoiding large, short-term hiring surges helped lower overall workforce volatility. Overall, our turnover rates remain stable and are notably low for the manufacturing industry.

TREX FAMILY FUN DAY We host this event at our locations in Virginia, Nevada and Arkansas as an opportunity for team members and their families to enjoy camaraderie outside of working hours. The day’s activities include a picnic lunch, socializing, prizes, giveaways, live music and games. This event also helps reinforce our culture and values while showing employees we appreciate them and their families.
