TREX CONTRIBUTION

Innovative R&D for Recycling: Trex continues to invest in research and development to recover additional streams of waste PE film not traditionally recycled. Recycling Manufacturing Waste: In 2025, previously discarded plastic trimmings from widely used personal products were approved for use in our recycling process, expanding material recovery and manufacturing efficiency. Clean Manufacturing Technology: Expanded regenerative thermal oxidizer capacity in 2025 further reduced manufacturing emissions and improved industrial environmental performance.

9.4 By 2030, upgrade infrastructure and retrofit industries to make them sustainable, with increased resource use efficiency and greater adoption of clean and environmentally sound technologies and industrial processes, with all countries taking action in accordance with their respective capabilities 10.2 By 2030, empower and promote the social, economic and political inclusion of all, irrespective of age, sex, disability, race, ethnicity, origin, religion, economic or other status 10.4 Adopt policies, especially fiscal, wage and social protection policies, and progressively achieve greater equality

Build resilient infrastructure, promote sustainable industrialization

and foster innovation

Consistent Candidate Evaluation: A standardized candidate scorecard is used to evaluate applicants consistently, supporting a fair and objective hiring process. Workforce Representation: In 2025, ethnically diverse employee representation increased to 31.5%, and diverse management representation increased to 11.6%.

Reduce inequality within and among countries

E

Compensation Transparency: Trex uses a defined compensation grade structure to establish pay ranges prior to candidate evaluation. Pay Transparency in Job Postings: Compensation ranges are included in job postings to promote clear communication and equitable pay practices.

12.2 By 2030, achieve the sustainable management and efficient use of natural resources

Materials: Trex composite decking is made from approximately 95% reclaimed and recycled materials. Since inception, Trex has upcycled more than 6.4 billion pounds of waste plastic film. Water Conservation: Closed-loop recirculation systems recycle approximately 99% of process water at key manufacturing facilities.

Ensure sustainable consumption and production patterns

12.5 By 2030, substantially reduce waste generation through prevention, reduction, recycling and reuse

Reclaimed Resources: In 2025, Trex sourced 961 million pounds of reclaimed wood and recycled PE film for use in our products. Non-Hazardous Waste Recycling: Trex diverts and recycles significant volumes of non-hazardous waste, including 1,579 tons of purge material sent to waste-to- energy in 2025. Packaging Reduction: In 2025, Trex reduced packaging use by more than 600,000 pounds and returned over 750,000 pounds of corrugate for re-use.

Environmental Transparency: Trex reports environmental performance and progress annually through its Sustainability Report and other public disclosures. Supplier Accountability: All suppliers are required to adhere to the standards outlined in our Vendor and Customer Code of Conduct and Ethics.

12.6 Encourage companies, especially large and transnational companies, to adopt sustainable practices and to integrate sustainability information into their reporting cycle

13.2 Integrate climate change measures into national policies, strategies and planning

Energy and Emissions Reduction: Trex continues to evaluate manufacturing and transportation processes to reduce energy use and associated greenhouse gas emissions. In 2025, energy efficiency projects delivered more than 8,700 MWh in annual energy savings. In 2025, our overall energy usage decreased 3% and our absolute carbon emissions decreased by 3% compared to 2024. These decreases primarily resulted from production changes relating to demand and increased manufacturing efficiencies. Climate Governance: Trex’s Board of Directors receives regular updates on sustainability and climate-related risks, integrating climate considerations into corporate governance and strategic planning.
