RECENTLY COMPLETED PROJECTS INCLUDE:

The Marshall Building a £ 145m new build, designed by Grafton Architects on the corner of Lincoln ’ s Inn Field in a conservation area. The project is attracting industry and media attention since it opened in January 2022. It recently won the Priz Versailles Campuses 2022 and continues to receive award accolades.

LSE ESTATES DIVISION AND CAPITAL DEVELOPMENT The Estates Division is responsible for development and imple- mentation of the LSEs Estates strategy, providing world class buildings and facilities for teaching, learning and research. The Estates Division are committed to creating a higher quality built environment commensurate with LSEs academic stand- ing. Strategic projects are developed and delivered by the Cap - ital Development team, responsible for the planning and imple- mentation of major capital projects, long term maintenance and carbon management in progress at the School. Following a design competition in 2022, David Chipperfields Ar - chitect have been selected to develop the next major project for the LSE, the Firoz Lalji Global Hub is a £ 100m + project that has set high environmental targets with low embedded carbon im- pacts. The development is currently at RIBA Stage 2 with plans to complete it by late 2026.

Our Rogers Stirk Harbour and Partners designed Centre building at £ 125m, recieved an RIBA Award and a Civic Trust Award following its completiong in 2019. The LSE first new building for more than 40 years, The Saw Swee Hock Student Centre has recieved praise from students, staff and architecture critics and has won many awards since its opening in 2014. The capital plan has various major projects up to 2030 and beyond, these are due to be developed over the next few years and the LSE is currently also planning several joint venture residential projects that will build upon the success of previous projects.
