Averitt has a Conflict of Interest Policy detailed in the associate handbook. Associates shall avoid situations where their personal interests could conflict with, or even appear to conflict with, the interests of our company. The associates involved must promptly disclose to leadership any existing or potential conflict of interest. Engaging in activities outside of work that create a conflict of interest or appear to do so – that, for example, negatively affect one’s ability to perform their job responsibilities for Averitt or otherwise create a conflict of interest with Averitt – is a problem and may lead to disciplinary action up to and including termination of employment. Averitt has a Profit Protection and Fraud Prevention Program that includes zero tolerance for fraud, theft, or corruption. Averitt administers this program to eliminate the theft and misuse of company property/equipment and/or customer funds or property. An associate who witnesses and reports theft or misuse of company or customer property or equipment may be eligible for a reward of up to $5,000 if the information leads to resolution of the incident. To report a situation that may involve theft or misuse of company or customer property, associates are encouraged to call a provided hotline number. Calls are confidential. All employees, contractors, and vendors are encouraged to use Averitt’s anonymous, toll-free line to report any violations of any of these standards without risk of retaliation.
