NSPCC Today was both interesting and educational .The NCPCC came into our school and taught us the valuable information about child cruelty. They asked us questions and told us the child line number, 0800 1111.They said that if we ever needed it : the number would be free of charge, open twenty four hours and we could also call on any day of the year. Our worries would soon be gone and that they would be a helping hand if we were to be involved in child cruelty. The NCPCC told us about the different child abuses, such as neglect, when a child has not got the correct needs of food and clothes. Bullying - this is when a adult or child has hurt them mentally or physically. This could also happen online. This is named cyber- bullying. Emotional abuse is one of the worst forms of child abuse because it can damage the child’s mind and can cause unhappiness. This type of abuse is when a child sees parents or carers harm one another. Finally, the most unacceptable kind of child abuse is the sexual abuse. This is when a child is made to show or touch private parts of the body. Private parts of the body are those which are covered by the underwear. Thanks to Rufus and Finn, in 6J for the story. THINK TANK We loved our day at Think Tank. The mini-bus was great and I pretended to be asleep! When we got there we saw a massive dinosaur skeleton and some old fashioned planes and cars. It was a really great day and we would both give it 10/10. From Simmi & Zain in 1K.
