We’re all going to the zoo! Tomorrow

DRAYTON MANOR 1 Our trip to Drayton Manor Zoo was epic! We got to stroke some real animals including a skunk called Pepe, a lizard, a scaly snake, a hissing cockroach and a millipede that had 300 legs! There were some fabulous artefacts, which we were allowed to feel and talk about. When walking around the zoo, we saw lots of loud, squawking birds and some were from Australia. The meerkats were cute but very smelly. In the reptile house, we saw a huge snake and a tiny poison dart frog. I loved the soft play area because it had bumpy slides and a huge, twisty slide. Thanks to Sawyer Morais in 2PB for the story DRAYTON MANOR 2 On our way to Drayton Manor, I was so excited knowing I was going to see lots of different animals. When we arrived, we went to the discovery centre where the guide showed us lots of different animals and artefacts. The first animal we saw was a Royal Python, which was scaly and bumpy, but not very slimy. There was also a medium sized, black and white, stripy skunk called Pepe and when we stroked him, our fingers were very smelly. After the skunk, we saw a soft and bendy millipede. It was bendy because it didn’t have a skeleton. The last animal was a Hissing cockroach, which was also very scaly. We then made our way to the zoo and saw lots of swinging monkeys. They used their tails to hang as it acted like a third leg. Then we went to the Reptile House, where we saw three bearded dragons, which were huge! We saw lots of lizards but they weren’t camouflaged as there was a blue one - which I didn’t expect to see! After that, we went to see the small, brown meerkats which were able to stand on their back legs to get a better view of what was happening. Leaving Drayton Manor, I felt really happy and lucky to be able to see the different animals and have a guide to tell us all about them. Thanks to Amelia Durber in 2G for the story
