CHOCOLATE

On Saturday 28th April in Cannon Hill Park, a group of Abbey parents and children ran the Chocolate 5k, raising £280 for St Mary’s Hospice in Birmingham. After the children hit the finish line, they got medals and chocolate for their brilliant work. Taking part were: Rory and Hannah Dodds, Jess Quigley, Jess and Olivia Harris, Phoebe Khisna, Riley and Emily Folbigg, Daisy and Amelia Taylor, Ella and Rosa Bateman, and Amy and Thomas Key. Thanks to Rory’s mum for the story. NO CHOCOLATE I raised money for the British Heart Foundation by not eating chocolate for the whole of March. I found it difficult at times, but knew I was raising awareness and money for a good cause. The reason I decided to do this was because my cousin, Aliya, had a heart operation and the BHF supported her along the way. In the picture you can see Aliya’s scar. She now has a mechanical valve and goes tick tock! The choc-less hero raised £232. Thanks to Phoebe for the story.

[Ed - really proud of you all!]
