Oh what a night! Dance Show

ROCKIN’ MOVES

I vy, Daisy, Phoebe, Ella, Bonneeve and Olivia took part in Springs Academy’s dance show this weekend. They performed in Stourbridge town hall with three shows over two days. They had three dances within each show. This is the girls in their 'School of Rock' outfits. It was not too hot for them to rock!!! It was an excellent show by the whole academy! Thanks to Olivia’s Mum for the story. CYCLING CLUB We are holding an event on the 18 th of August 2018 beginning at 11.30am till 1500hrs at Smethwick Fire Station, Stony Lane, Smethwick. The purpose of the event is to launch our cycling club, Smethwick Beat the Street Community Cycling Group. The aim of the club is to teach those that are unable or are not confident to ride safely on the roads. The course is free and is for parents and children alike so we would like to extend an invitation to anyone who is interested. There is an age restriction, only 8 to 11years can participate. Ideally everyone should bring their own bike; however, there is a limited number of bikes available to use if needed. Thanks to PCSO Jo Evans for the story. FREEDOM SEWING Y6 parents were invited in to work with us on making a ‘freedom cushion’ based upon our topic this term. Each child had to pick a design and sew it onto a piece of fabric. These symbols were only known to slaves. Thanks to Aamina and Diya in 6V for the story.
