Qui réussira à se tailler une place pour l’Omnium I n v i t a t i o n Prescott-Russell?
Lors de l’Omnium Invitation Prescott-Russell, une dizaine de golfeurs amateurs auront la chance de rivaliser avec les professionnels sur les verts. C’est le 15 juin prochain que le Club de golf et curling de Hawkesbury tiendra une journée de qualification pour les amateurs, où neuf places au tournoi seront en jeu. « Une place est déjà garantie au champion 2014 du club, Justin Martel, a précisé le joueur professionnel Carl Desjardins. Les neuf meilleurs de la journée vont jouer dans le tournoi du 25 et cette qualification est ouverte à tous. » À noter que le joueur junior de Vankleek Hill, Jared Dandy, qui a terminé au sixième rang de l’Omnium junior du Québec enmai dernier sur le même terrain, devrait faire partie de cette qualification. Il avait alors ramené des cartes de 76 et 74, terminant six coups au- dessus de la normale. Enfin, cinq joueurs du programme sport-études de l’Association des golfeurs professionnels duQuébec (AGP) rejoindront les dix amateurs et les professionnels pour le tournoi. (SL)
