Peacefully, after a brief illness, with her family by her side, Irene McBain, of Hawkesbury, passed away at the Promenade Retirement Residence in Orleans (Ontario), at the age of 86. Beloved wife of the late Gerald McBain. Loving mother of Patricia (Jean Jacques Demers) of Hawkesbury, Gerald Jr. (Ginette Caron) of Cornwall, Helen (George McDonald) and Phyllis (Frank Greenwell) both of Orleans. Cherished grandmother of Marc, Jennifer, Jason, Brock, Bryce, Trenton, Warren and Alyssa. Great grandmother of Maisie, Aeden, Calista, Morgan and Emma. Predeceased by her parents Alphonse and Marie Seguin and her brother Fred. Friends may visit at the Hillcrest Funeral Home, 151, Bond Street, Vankleek Hill (Ontario) , on Friday June 12 th , 2015, from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. and 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. Mass of Christian Funeral will be celebrated at St. Jude’s Catholic Church, 372 Genevieve Street, Hawkesbury (Ontario), on Saturday, June 13 th , 2015, at 11:00 a.m. Interment St. Anthony’s Parish Cemetery, Apple Hill (Ontario). Irene’s family wishes to thank Dr. Daigneault, the staff at The Promenade Retirement Residence, CCAC and Champlain Regional Palliative Consultation Team for their compassion, care and special attention. A special thank you to all of her friends at the Residence for their support.
