Search Methodology We specialise in senior level appointments. We research, identify and assess top talent based on your requirements and use a bespoke selection matrix; this ensures we compare and contrast candidates skills, measuring those skills not only against the experience criteria, but against the skills and experience of other candidates selected. Talent Management We understand the fast-paced stu- dent accommodation sector and the need to have talent readily available for acquisitions and high demand periods. We have partnered with Thomas International and are able to carry out personality profiling and emotional intelligence testing, which aids the student experience through wellbeing and awareness.

Interim Management

We have supported numerous PBSA Providers and Higher Education Institutes, supplying interims to cope with change and increased workload, according to the needs of the organisation. All our interim executives are vetted and our payroll services are undertaken in-house.

Director of Residential Services Responsible for the delivery of a high-quality residential experience to around 7,000 students living in University accommodation and third-party nominated accommodation; the post holder is accountable for overseeing and managing the interactions of the student population living in the local community. As a member of the HAS (Hospitality and Accommodation Services) senior management team, they also contribute to the vision and strategy of the directorate to achieve their ambitious plans for providing world class facilities. The successful candidate came from a private provider background with a national remit encompassing a proven track record in delivering the student experience. The Regional Operations Manager manages the operations across their Swansea, Bath, Southampton, Bournemouth, Poole and London properties. Providing inspirational leadership and motivation to the teams, championing a customer centric operation across the region. The operations teams are the backbone to the properties and customer experience; talented leaders of people, packed with common sense and a strong commercial ability. The regional operations are key to ensuring a high quality operation and all the properties operate in line with the statutory, legal and moral obligations. The successful candidate had a background in hospitality having originally started in the hotel sector. More recently they had been working as a Regional Manager for Savills, across a mixed used portfolio. Regional Operations Manager

Estates Manager

The Estates Manager is a key role to ensuing the buildings are maintained to the best possible standard. This role is responsible for ensuing all maintenance related tasks are com- pleted and site based trades teams are trained to the deal with all reactive maintenance issues, improving the student experience whilst staying with Unite. The successful candidate was a degree qualified engineer, who undertook the Aldi management training programme, before undertaking a Regional Operations Manager role.

Student Experience Manager

UCL manages 4,774 student rooms across 21 residences, with a further 1,900 rooms held under nomination agreement. The Student Experience Manager is responsible for delivering a positive student experience to all students living in UCL owned or nominated accommodation. A ‘go to’ person who is visible, who corresponds with students, employees and external stakeholders to keep them informed of university developments relating to student accommodation. Create strategies to increase student awareness and to promote engagement. The successful candidate came from another university with a strong track record in the communication and marketing, with a solid understanding of Student Experience.

Hayley Mintern Business Sector Director

After working in the Rugby Football Union Education Department l eading on international projects for six years, Hayley moved into recruitment working for Reed managing both temporary and permanent campaigns. Hayley joined MRG in 2015, initially supporting Estates and Facilities Management appointments across Higher Education. Hayley now heads up the Commercial and Student Accommodation division working with both HEIs and Purpose-Built Student Accommodation Providers.

Charlotte Turedi Practice Manager

Starting her career with an international company in 2015, she has worked with a number of public and private sector organisations within property. Charlotte joined MRG as a Practice Manager solely specialising in Student Residences in conjunction with our established higher education business. She is responsible for interim and permanent campaigns for mid to senior level management across student residences; including roles within Operations, Maintenance & Engineering, Student Experience, Student Welfare and wider Facilities Management.
