T H E K I N G ’S B U S I N E S S velopment will be trouble. The prob lem has many aspects (says the Cairo correspondent of the ‘Daily News’ ), but, briefly, it is whether Zionism is to con trol Palestine, or whether the native Arabs are to secure the preponderat ing influence, through a National As sembly elected by the pre-war residents of Palestine and their descendants? If, on material grounds, the Jewish dom ination is confirmed, Palestine will be a stormy country, and there can be no telling when or where theTightning will strike.” Captain W. Stanley Shaw of London, has addressed a letter to the “New York Herald” regarding Palestine and the Jews. His letter states in part: “ Up to about thirty-five years ago, Palestine was a •graveyard, a desert, o'ver which the silence of centuries hung like a pall. Now that under the hand of the Jew the desert is beginning to blossom like a rose, along come all sorts of peo ple—Arabs, natives, and so on—with all sorts of grievances. What have the Arabs, Turks, natives, etc., done for Palestine during the past five hundred years? Nothing at all. Now that the Jews are causing dead bones to live, and are producing the finest fruit and vege tables in the world, up come these peo ple with their- most preposterous and ridiculous grievances. The thing! is absurd. I am not a Jew, nor do I hold any brief for the Jews, but right is right.” Thrones Cast Down In view of these many rapid develop ments the following statements of Charles H. Waehlte are deeply signifi cant: “ Seven years ago when the great European war began, there were forty- one royal dynasties in the world. Now there are only seventeen of them left. In seven short years, twenty-four thrones have collapsed and vanished away. Many a kingly treasure and royal regalia has been robbed, confis cated and desecrated. Great Emperors

and powerful Kings and Czars have come to shame, penury, and violent death. And princes are wandering over the earth desolate and forsaken and hungry. Surely the thrones have begun to fall. But so it must be, and so it will be, in the end of this age. But all this is only the beginning of • what lies in the future. The day is coming when every throne in the world will topple and crash before the al mighty power of the Judge of the whole earth. Daniel moved by the Spirit of God predicted the coming of that day. ‘I beheld till the thrones were cast down, and the Ancient of Days did sit, whose garment was white as snow, and the hair of His head like the pure wool: His throne was like the fiery flame.’ Dan. 7:9. ‘Thus saith the Lord God; Remove the diadem, and take off the crown; I will overturn, overturn, over turn it; and it shall be no more, until He come whose right it is; and I will give it him,’ Ezek. 21:26-27.” THE ODDS ON BRYAN THIS TIME “ First space and force and cosmic dust, Rotating nebula that just Contracted, cooled, and fizzed and fussed— The world began, Then planets, systems, sun and moon, Land, water, O spontaneous boon— Amoeba! lizard, ape (baboon), Behold, a MAN!” - Thus scholarship (?) doth wave aside God’s WORD, with blatant, puffed-up pride, Broadcasting unproved theories wide Beneath the sun. But Wm. Bryan’s “ hat is in.” The issue? “ TRUTH ’gainst highbrow' sin.” The odds? Why bless your heart he’ll win “ Sixteen to one!” P. H. KADEY, Port Huron, Mich.
