Discussion of Enrollment Growth Goals (SE Plan Goal #1) and its relationship to Diversity, Inclusion and Opportunity Goal — Increasing student enrollment means we need more advisors — And other types of support — And increasing # of faculty — Diversify the library collection — e.g., mental health; LGBTQ — PALS tutoring — do we have multi-lingual students? Sessions are only offered in English. — Diversity among faculty and staff — Managing homesickness Strategy #6: Ensure that student-facing staff represent the diversity of the students seek to enroll. For example, housing, financial aid, cashier’s office, etc. Suggestions for the VP for Strategic Enrollment Management re: additional outreach/discussion forums about the SE Plan: — Open Forum for students — Outreach to Equity and Service Council — Outreach to student clubs and organizations — Outreach to the students in the Diversity and Equity Center (DEC) and the Center for Leadership and Community Engagement (CLCE) — Outreach to college student advisory boards Has the SEM Steering Committee examined the price up-charges for various systems based on enrollment increases? Library collections? Financial Aid TV? Software? Enterprise applications? 12,000-15,000 is a great size — not too big and not too small — Growth — new buildings, new sports facilities, new housing — without feeling “too big”
