Portfolios should contain: • Drawings from direct observation that show an exceptionally mature level of skill and perception • Evidence of work that has been done over a number of months • Evidence of work that has been done at school with the guidance of a teacher as well as completely independent work • At least two full sketchbook of drawings • Evidence of an interest in art that has developed over a number of years
HOW ARE PUPILS ASSESSED? The assessment will consist of: • An observational drawing test • A portfolio assessment • A brief interview with the Head of Art
