“Is Your Hip Causing Your Knee Or Back Pain? ” Effective Hip & Knee Pain Relief

Do you find yourself getting up in the morning stiff and having to move slowly? Do you also find yourself having to stop and rest after standing awhile or walking a distance due to back or knee pain? Whether you feel pain occurring in your back, buttocks, thighs or knees your hip joints could be the culprit. The hip is an incredible joint in your body that has to rotate while absorbing shock with every step. The hip joint is made up of your femur bone, which has a ball on the top and the socket of your pelvis. It is held in place by thick ligaments, which wrap around the joint, giving it stability, yet allowing it to move through a large range of motion. It’s What You Don’t Do… If you sit frequently at a computer, watching TV or just being less active, your hip ligaments will tighten up over time. However, even if you are an active person, but don’t stretch, this can also tighten the hip ligaments. Ultimately, your hips have to be flexible on a daily basis for your body to function normally.

When the ligaments around the hip joints tighten, you lose normal range of motion in your hips. This in turn increases the shock from every step and that tremendous force is now transferred to your back or knees. Furthermore, when you walk, since the hip joint is not moving correctly, it pulls on your pelvis and spine. This constant yanking causes inflammation and irritation to your back, thighs, buttocks and knees. Finding The Cause… Finding the true cause of your back pain is always our top priority. It is only then, that a good physical therapy treatment program can be put together targeting these problemareas. Our advanced hands- on therapy and specific exercises dramatically improve your hip mobility and decrease the strain on your spine. Patient Success Spotlight My range of motion improved!

“Tom, I recently completed six weeks of therapy at KPTC for a shoulder injury. One morning you sat beside me during my “ice phase” and admitted you were the luckiest man on earth because of the great staff who worked together

almost like a loving family. I agree and congratulate you on your selection of individuals who are both professional and committed to providing a high level of service to your patients. I spent more time with Devin and Rissa during treatment and both exhibited extremely high levels of knowledge and professionalism with a personal touch. In fact, from the friendly greeting at the front desk to the placement of ice packs at the end, I was impressed. Most of all, my range of motion improved considerably and the pain has diminished. Thanks for a job well done. I will certainly recommend your “work family” anytime an opportunity arises.” DO YOU HAVE KNEE PAIN?
