“Our system cuts thermal bridging from both the outside and the inside,” Levesque says. “And it doesn’t require a vapor barrier at all.” The result is a wall system with an effective R- value of approximately R-32—significantly outperforming conventional 2x6 framed walls, which often deliver much lower effective performance than their nominal ratings once thermal bridging is accounted for. “People talk about R-20 or R-22 walls,” Levesque adds. “But in reality, that downgrades to R-15 or R-17. Our system is R-32 effective. That’s a big difference.” Equally important is what the system removes. Traditional vapor barriers, often compromised during construction, are no longer required.

“Dealing with vapor barriers in stick framing is a nightmare,” Levesque says.

“You’re always cutting into it, always making holes. With OSBLOCK , that problem just doesn’t exist.”
