Frontier Co-op 2024 Biennial Sustainability Report

BREAKING DOWN BARRIERS to EMPLOYMENT

Frontier Co-op’s Breaking Down Barriers to Employment programs aim to address systemic barriers to employee success and economic mobility by providing services including subsidized childcare, job skills training through apprenticeships, second chance hiring practices, accessible and reliable transportation, and a financial security savings program. These services are transformative, supporting employee success and mobility not only within the compa- ny but in the wider community.

Our Breaking Down Barriers to Employment initiative has helped us do amazing things in [our local] communities and build a solid workforce. The aspect I am most proud of, though, is it has allowed us to create a cul- ture that is open minded about the differenc- es and struggles we have all been through and how these do not define who we are today or where we want to be in the future.
