2. Advise local law enforcement that hotel is closed and request assistance in relocating guests. 3. Advise local law enforcement of your alternate operating location including phone and email addresses. 4. Lock down hotel (all key interior areas and exterior doors) with minimal management, engineering and security staff only remaining in house. 5. Secure all funds in safe deposit boxes or safe. 6. Print rooming list. 7. Key management staff may need to relocate to an alternative Command Center. 8. Take laptop computers, cell phones, and some radios/chargers to the designated Assembly Point or alternative Command Center. 9. Power down computer systems except for email and telephone systems. 10. Program the telephone system to indicate the hotel is closed and provide the phone number of the alternate Command Center. 11. Power down non-essential utilities and equipment. 12. Turn off exterior lighted signs. ABANDONMENT The following measures will be taken to abandon the hotel following a decision for closure. • The remaining staff are to abandon the hotel with all doors locked. • Turn off all gas to the building. • Shut off phone switch. • Collect master keys and e- keys and place them in safe deposit box or vault. • GM or MOD to retain Safe deposit box guard key. • Unplug and secure electronic key encoders. • Bring rooming list, cell phones/chargers and radios/chargers to alternate Command Center. Relocate remaining Associates to off-site Command Center and advise all other hotels, corporate office and reservation centers of such relocation. Branded hotels must ensure the respective Franchisor is aware of the relocation. Advise local law enforcement and fire department that hotel is secure and abandoned.
