LOCATIONS Fire Extinguisher Fire Alarm Pull Station Exit Route Assembly Point (designated meeting place)
Banquet & Meeting Rooms Manager/Supervisor on Duty: • When the alarm is activated, direct Associates to assist guests to leave the building in a calm and orderly manner. Check all areas where guests may be, i.e. restaurant, dining room, patio, lounge, public restrooms, pre-convention areas, etc. • Assign an Associate to each occupied meeting room to assist guests to the nearest exit for that area. • Assign an Associate to stairwell exits to assist guests. Department Manager/Supervisor on duty: • Ensure all Associates are safe, and you have accounted for each Associate on duty. • Notify the MOD when all Associates are located/identified:
“Banquet & Meeting Rooms to MOD.” When MOD responds, announce: “Banquet & Meeting Rooms All Clear!”
Once you have left the building, do not re-enter until given an all clear. Assist with guests as needed. THE SALES & CATERING AND BANQUET & MEETING ROOMS DEPARTMENTS WILL BE CROSS-TRAINED ON FIRE SAFETY PROCEDURES AND WILL ALSO HANDLE OR ASSIST WITH THE OTHER DEPARTMENT’S RESPONSIBILITIES IF SHORT-STAFFED.
