"Always look for new challenges and never stop educating yourself"
H
Evolution Energy Partners was the most defining moment in my career. In my previous posi- tions, although I was respected, I always sat in a supportive role. Being handed the reigns to all current and future market- ing strategy not only gave me the responsibility I was looking for but motivated me to strive for success every day. What outside activities do you enjoy during you free time? During my free time I enjoy traveling, trying new food, and spending time with my pets. As soon as the COVID-19 pandemic
is over, I plan to take many va- cation days traveling the world! What inspiring word of advice would you give to a young executive graduating from college? Never get too comfortable at your job. Getting comfort- able in a position can be detri- mental to both your personal growth and professional suc- cess. Always look for new challenges and never stop educating yourself. If your cur- rent position does not provide enough challenge look for new opportunities or take on addi- tional responsibilities. MAREJ

In my current position I am responsible for developing and executingmarketing strategies and tactics that drive growth and generate new sales across the company. My responsibili- ties include social media, blog posts, email outreach, event management, marketing col- lateral, and more! Tell us how and when you began your career in the profession you are in, about your current position and why you choose the field/ profession you are in today? After graduating college, I began my career as a market- ing coordinator for a medical publishing company. That posi- tion gave me great insight into the many components of mar- keting, from print and digital ads to working with third-party ecommerce partners. After that position, I moved to the tele- communication industry and then to travel. When search- ing for a new career, I always looked to venture out of my comfort zone, never wanting to feel “stuck” in a specific indus - try. When I found the opening at Evolution Energy Partners, I jumped at the opportunity. With little to no background in energy, I knew there might be a few challenges along the way but in the past few months, I have come to truly enjoy the energy industry, learning more each day. What were some of your early goals and did anything happen to change them? When I graduated college, I was convinced that being a top executive at a large company was where I wanted to be. Af- ter working at companies with 10 to 5000 employees, I have found that I enjoy smaller, more personal organizations. Having more control on the direct suc- cess of the projects I work onmo- tivates me to do my best work. What unique qualities and or personality do you feel makes you most suc- cessful in your profession? My determination, organiza- tional skills, and lack of pro- crastinationmakes me the most successful in my profession. In marketing, there are a million different things happening at once.
