MAIN TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES: 1. General Management

1.1. Act as advocate for redevelopment within ICHT, regionally and nationally, as appropriate, building relationships to develop facilities for the benefit of patients, their families, staff and the wider Trust. 1.2. To be a champion of best-practice for the ICHT Redevelopment Programme Team and regularly undertake research and development to identify improvements. 1.3. Support the Redevelopment Director in the preparation of long term strategic plans, involving change which impacts on the organisation. 1.4. Contribute to other organisational-wide Projects as may be required from time-to-time. 1.5. Support effective communication networks to facilitate sharing and receiving information including departmental meetings and positive interface with other professional staff groups both internal and external. 1.6. To represent redevelopment at appropriate internal and external forums and to deputise for the Director of Redevelopment as required. 1.7. Contribute to the development Business Cases 1.8. The post holder will work collaboratively with Project Management Office, contracted advisors to Redevelopment and Estates and Facilities leads to deliver the Redevelopment Programme 1.9. To monitor the delivery of key related actions arising from Boards and Committees. 1.10. Write briefing papers for presentation and discussion at appropriate forums and Board level 1.11. To ensure constructive and professional relationships are maintained between the technical design team and the construction partner, and that disputes are minimised. 1.12. Facilitate and lead working groups reporting to the Project Board up to and following construction through to operational commissioning and post project evaluation 1.13. Supporting industry engagement through attending conferences and industry groups 1.14. The post holder will contribute to the development, planning and implementation of the Masterplan process 2. Staff Management 2.1. Manage the team members as per organisation chart 2.2. To participate in the recruitment of redevelopment staff and ensure accurate job descriptions, fairness and parity in grading, and positive processes to facilitate career development 2.3. To ensure all staff are clear of their responsibilities in respect of Trust policies and legislation, as appropriate 2.4. To participate in the agreed process to meet the Trust’s IPR standards. To include the setting of clearly defined objectives as part of a personal development plan 13
