† FM/IM = Family Medicine/Internal Medicine †† Core Clerkships include the 5 Longitudinal Integrated Clerkships of Family Medicine/Internal Medicine, Obstetrics & Gynecology, Pediatrics, Psychiatry, and Surgery; and an Emergency Medicine Clerkship. ††† Students take USMLE Step 1 before mid-September in Year 3. * Years 3 and 4 have 20 weeks of Required Clinical Experiences: 4 weeks Internal Medicine Sub-Internship, 4 weeks Sub-Internship (student’s preference), 4 weeks Advanced Clinical Rotation, 4 weeks Rotation in an Under-Resourced Setting, and 4 weeks Academic Medical Center Rotation.
Students take USMLE Step 2, Clinical Knowledge (CK) and Clinical Skills (CS), by the end of July at the start of Year 4.
