Les Castors essuient un cinquième revers

Les Castors de Clarence ont subi une cinquième défaite consécutive ce weekend. Dans cette jeune saison, ils occupent actuellement la dernière place dans la division Metro, avec deux victoires et cinq défaites. Dimanche, l’équipe locale a concédé une victoire de 6-2 aux Mustangs de Gatineau. Les Castors avaient pourtant bien entamé la rencontre en prenant les devants 2-0 au premier engagement. Yanik Laliberté et Nathaniel Quinn avaient marqué pour Clarence. Les Castors menaient toujours après deux périodes après avoir accordé un but à l’adversaire. Le pointage était de 2-1 en fin de deuxième période. Les Mustangs ont trouvé la faille chez le gardien Philippe Quesnel au dernier tiers. L’équipe de Gatineau y est allée de cinq buts sans réplique, dont deux en supériorité numérique pour s’emparer de la victoire. Au chapitre des tirs au but, les Castors ont décoché 29 lancers sur le gardien adverse. De son côté, le gardien des Castors a dû répondre à 38 tirs de l’adversaire. Au moment de mettre sous presse, les Castors affrontaient les Canadians d’Ottawa, mardi. Vendredi, ils affronteront les Royals à Stittsville. Ils seront de retour à l’aréna de Clarence Creek pour affronter les Timberwolves de Renfrew.
