OFTEC has been on the road meeting with technicians at Plumbex Limerick and Dublin.
FEEDBACK FROM TECHNICIANS SUGGESTS CUSTOMERS ARE INCREASINGLY SEEKING OFTEC REGISTRATION FROM BOILER PASSPORTS TO LOCAL AUTHORITY WORK, SAYS IRELAND MANAGER DAVID BLEVINGS… Registering with OFTEC
OFTEC registration is increasing in Ireland as consumers realise the benefits of using a registered technician for their installation and service work. OFTEC Ireland has been busy on the road this year attending Plumbex shows in Limerick and Dublin and the Heating Engineer Supplies trade show in Patrickswell, Limerick. The discussion at these events is very positive. There is still a huge demand for liquid fuel and technicians tell us that consumers are now more switched on to controls and want to be more informed about what their heating appliances can

By selecting an OFTEC registered
company, they know they are getting qualified individuals who are committed to quality work with reliable support and back up from a bona fide trade association. Several technicians mentioned that many customers now want their boiler passport completed by a registered technician. Other technicians advise that many local authorities now require a registered technician to sign off on local authority work, and many were being asked for the Landlord Liquid Fuel Installation Check (CD12), which is good news. At these events, we welcomed technicians
