ALL IN ONE DAY’S WORK – PROSURFACE DELIVERS 120SQM RESIN BOUND GRAVEL SURFACING TO HOTEL GROUNDS IN FIVE HOURS… SUSTAINABLE SURFACING

S pecialist surfacing contractor, ProSurface Irl Ltd, installed the decorative, low-maintenance resin bound gravel surface for the luxurious Rabbit Hotel and Retreat project. As Northern Ireland’s leading supply and fit company for resin bound gravel surfacing, it’s not surprising that the Downpatrick firm won the tender for this exclusive hotel and spa complex where quality and appearance is held at a premium. The ProSurface team covered an area of 120sqm in ‘Corn Flint’ colour choice. The newly installed surface leads from the rear of the hotel to the new cocktail bar, surrounds the pool

area and links to another building in the hotel grounds. All work was completed to the highest standards in less than one day. “We arrived at 8am and completed the job by 1pm,” said Damien Murray, Managing Director for ProSurface, “The natural stone gravel and resin was freshly mixed on site using a specialised mixer and wheel-barrowed to the designated area where it was poured, trowelled and levelled by hand.” The ProSurface team worked diligently to complete the delivery, mixing and surfacing activities with as little disruption as possible to the hotel and spa’s patrons

and staff. The result is an attractive and highly functional walking surface. “An increasing number of architects are specifying resin bound gravel for projects,” said Damien. “Our range comes in 20 different colours using natural stone gravel which is double washed and dried to provide a highly decorative surface.” ProSurface’s resin bound gravel product delivers a host of benefits over more traditional paving options. The main plus is the permeability of the finished surface. This eliminates the build-up of standing water and run-off into public drainage. Instead, water soaks down

“We are delighted to see ProSurface resin boundgravel featuredon this fantastic project.”
