There is a personal devil, a being of great cunning and power, “The prince of the power of the air,” “The prince of this world,” “The god of this age.” He can exert his vast power only so far as God suffers him to do so. He shall ultimately be cast into the lake of fire and brimstone, and shall be tormented day and night forever. W e can use you in this bank; all that we ask is that you come to us and do the very best that you can.” After you had been there and had worked a few days, suppose that you said to yourself, “This is going very well, but here is a spacious lobby with a beautiful marble floor. What a waste of space that is; I might utilize it. If I could just set up a peanut stand in the middle of the lobby I could make quite a few nickels and dimes selling peanuts.” Many o f God’s children are more inter ested in “selling peanuts,” than in doing business for the King. God has such a great business that every man and woman who is identified with Him through faith in Jesus Christ should give to the business of that King everything which he pos sesses. Give God everything—to do so is abundantly worth while.

All men, until they accept the Lord Jesus as their personal Saviour, are lost, darkened in their understanding, alienated from the life o f God through the ignorance that is in them, hardened in heart, morally and spirit ually dead through their trespasses and sins. They cannot see, nor enter the king dom of God until they are born again of the Holy Spirit. IX. Men are justified on the simple and single ground of the shed blood of Christ, and upon the simple and single condition of faith in Him Who shed the blood, and are born again by the quickening, renew ing, cleansing work of the Holy Spirit through the instrumentality of the Word o f God. X All those who receive Jesus Christ as their Saviour and their Lord, and who confess Him as such before their fellow men, become children of God, and receive eternal life. They become heirs of God and joint heirs with Jesus Christ. At death their spirits depart to be with Christ in conscious blessedness, and at the second coming o f Christ, their bodies shall be raised and transformed into the likeness of the body of His glory. XI. All those who persistently reject Jesus Christ in the present life shall be raised from the dead, and throughout eternity exist in a state o f conscious, unutterable, endless torment and anguish.
