The Bourget branch of the Clarence- Rockland Public Library hosted an event for families on Thursday, August 16, to discover the library and learn about its programs and services. There was also a used book sale, a hotdog stand, an arts and crafts table and a bouncy castle.The event capped off with a movie under the stars. Nouvelles directrices à l’école St-Paul et à L’Escale

Deux écoles du CSDCEO, soit L’École élé- mentaire catholique de Plantagenet et l’École secondaire catholique L’Escale de Rockland, auront de nouvelles directrices. L’École élémentaire catholique de Plan- tagenet accueille une nouvelle directrice, Maryse Legault. Mme Legault œuvre dans le domaine de l’éducation depuis 22 ans, tant en enseignement au niveau élémentaire qu’agente de l’éducation pour le ministère de l’Éducation de l’Ontario (MÉO) et pour l’Office de la qualité et de la responsabilité en éducation (OQRE). Mme Legault détient aussi deux baccalauréats en plus d’unemaî- trise en enseignement et en apprentissage. Chantal-Christine Gratton a été nommée nouvelle directrice de L’Escale. Avant d’accé- der à ce poste, Mme Gratton a été directrice de l’École secondaire catholique de Cassel- man et par la suite, de l’École secondaire catholique régionale de Hawkesbury. Elle a 17 ans d’expérience à la direction et à la direction adjointe des écoles du CSDCEO. Mme Gratton est originaire de la région et elle espère innover, transmettre ses qualités de leadership et offrir de nouvelles possi- bilités à la communauté estudiantine de L’Escale. « Ces personnes dévouées sont des lea- ders dans leur communauté respective et sont des modèles de construction identitaire francophone catholique », a déclaré François Turpin, directeur de l’éducation et secrétaire, par communiqué de presse. La rentrée scolaire pour les élèves des écoles catholiques françaises du CSDCEO est le mardi 29 août 2017.
