AlexandreBisson, ArianeParisienet Philippe Laflèche, tous trois de l’École secondaire catholique de Casselman, ont chacun reçu une bourse d’une valeur de 1000 $ (volet comptabilité), le 15 novembre dernier, en se classant en deuxième position lors de la 11e finale provinciale de la compétition académique Place à la jeunesse . Une trentaine d’équipes, réunissant 90 élèves des écoles secondaires francophones provenant de partout en Ontario, ont participé à cette compétition de haut calibre, organisée par l’École de gestion Telfer, l’Université d’Ottawa et le ministère de l’Éducation de l’Ontario. En tout, 16 bourses totalisant 82 000$ ont été accordées aux gagnants des volets comptabilité, marketing, entrepreneuriat et débat oratoire. On voit les récipiendaires en compagnie de l’enseignante Anne Demers (deuxième de la droite) qui n’a pas compté ses heures dans le but de les amener à participer à ce concours et à bien se classer. Les trois jeunes étudiants de 12 e année poursuivront leurs études à l’Université d’Ottawa.

Dr. Julie Maranda, Chief of Staff, is pleased to announce the appointment of Dr. Rania Ywakim to the Surgery Department at HGH. Dr. Ywakim is an otolaryngologist (ENT) and a graduate of the University of Alberta. She completed her residency training at McGill University in Montreal. She specializes in ear, nose and throat condiƟons, head and neck surgeries, including skin cancers. Dr. Ywakim is fluently bilingual. Dr. Ywakim joined HGH in November 2014.
