Chisholm: In today’s environment, corporate or government agency, the ability to help individuals identify and achieve their goals is para- mount. During the early part of my telecommunications career I was a successful sales executive, driven by my own success and that of my customers. My thinking was simple, provide my customers with the best solution for their business and I would gain the sales and the rewards associated. Not until I moved into management did I have a view that allowed me to find success in watch- ing folks outline their goals, build a plan and achieve it, did the paradigm shift for me. Journal: How has Kappa Alpha Psi ® played a role in your professional or educational career?

Currently JSVG has two subsidiaries, the core organiza- tion’s focus is the ability to provide organizational change management services that focuses on leadership development, strategy alignment, and operational improvement ser- vices for enterprise and government agencies. The second will investigate and determine technology services that are critical to telecommunica- tions companies success. We’re cur- rently exploring opportunities in the area of wireless infrastructure. I spent 25 years in the telecommu- nications industry serving in various capacities throughout my career. My last role at AT&T was as Account Director in the wholesale solutions organization after serving in the strategy and business development organization. Prior to joining AT&T

I held various marketing, sales and sales management positions with MCI Telecommunications. Journal: What were you involved in campus service, athletics or commu- nity wise, while in college?
