Journal: How has Kappa’s Six Point Plan played a role in your Province activities? Chisholm: We’re fortunate in Kappa, we have a clear game plan that is carried out in sync across 12 Provinces. No other NPHC organi- zation has a similar structure and the ability to galvanize it’s organization around common themes.

Chisholm: The role of Province Polemarch is to ensure that our chapters and members utilize their Province Leadership team as the trusted source of information to enhance both their personal and chapter’s success.

a battery of interviews with folks from a ton of different organizations. One of my last interviews was with a Black man, the significance it was the 1970s so to see a Black man in a position of power in corporate America, I thought this was the interview that I would nail with ease. Well, the interview goes on for an hour and a half, this man is work- ing me up my right side and down my left. I was determined not to let him see me sweat but he was killing me! We get to the end of the inter- view and he comments “I see that you are a member of Kappa Alpha Psi”? At that moment I figured 'OK.

Journal: Why is your province the best in Kappa Alpha Psi ® ? Chisholm: Too funny… if each Province doesn’t think it’s the best, we’re asking the wrong folks. We’re Kappas. Enough said! Journal: What advice would you give to those who want to pur- sue a career your profession? Chisholm: Focus on your weak- ness, augment your strengths with additional education and look for mentors to provide the insight you’ll need to succeed.
