We have a promising opportunity for an enthusiastic and energetic person for the Shop Foreman position. This is a permanent, full-time position. Applicants must have a minimum of 5 years woodworking, cabinet making and production management experience. Occasional evening and/or weekend work may be required. This is a permanent, full-time position. Applicants must have: 3 – 5 years experience installing cabinets and millwork, excellent site management and communication skills, the ability to work alone onsite or within a group environment, and the ability to read and interpret drawings. Installer must have and use their own tools and there will be some delivery required. Occasional evening and/or weekend work may be required. Requirements: • Education: College diploma in Cabinetmaking a definite asset • Minimum 5 years cabinet making/millwork and shop supervision experience • Required language: English • Must have driver’s license and clean motor vehicle record
• Manage a team of 7 employees • Maintain daily production goals • Review all Product Drawings and Shop Drawings and provide input to determine best methods of fabrication • Delegate tasks and evaluate performance • Troubleshoot and overcome challenges that may occur. • Run a wide variety of machines and manage the maintenance of same. • Communication skills. • Knowledge of Health and Safety guidelines to ensure compliance. • Oversee Shipping/Receiving.
• Maintain company quality standards on all finished products. • Time and project management principles and practices. • Conflict management skills.
