Empowering the Commonwealth with Future-Ready AI Skills
The Commonwealth Telecommunications Organisation (CTO), in partnership with KLabs International Training, officially launched the CTO–KLabs International Training AI Academy on 15 July 2026, marking a significant step towards strengthening AI capacity across the Commonwealth. The launch webinar, held under the theme "Empowering Governments, Regulators, Telecom Operators, Businesses and Professionals with Future-Ready AI Skills," attracted 98 participants from across the Commonwealth, including representatives from governments, regulators, the private sector, academia and other digital stakeholders. The event highlighted the growing importance of equipping institutions and professionals with practical AI knowledge to drive innovation, improve service delivery and accelerate inclusive digital transformation. The partnership reflects the CTO's commitment to building future- ready digital skills and ensuring that Commonwealth countries are well positioned to harness artificial intelligence responsibly and effectively. By combining the CTO's convening power with KLabs International Training's expertise in professional learning, the initiative will provide accessible, industry-relevant AI training that supports governments, businesses and professionals in strengthening productivity, fostering innovation and shaping a resilient, AI-enabled digital future.
